Provide some basic medical history and book an appointment with a licensed marijuana doctor. The $199 fee includes your consultation fee, physician copay, and the medical evaluation for your recommendation.
Consult with a marijuana physician who will evaluate your ailments and answer any questions you have about medical marijuana treatment. This can be either online, through video, or in person, depending on where you live.
If you are approved for medical marijuana, you’ll receive your recommendation. Depending on your state, you will either be granted immediate access to dispensaries or wait to receive your card in the mail.
The Hoosier State is a hard critic when it comes to legalizing cannabis, making it one of a dwindling handful of states that simply will not budge on considering the positive effects of the plant’s properties. While dozens of states have decriminalized cannabis, expunging records and trading arrests for fines, Indiana charges a misdemeanor for possessing even small amounts of marijuana.
The only significant progress the Hoosier State has had on cannabis consideration was in 2017 when Gov. Holcomb signed HB 1148, which allowed citizens with epilepsy to consume cannabis oil legally.
Without any compassionate care law, which allows for the medical use of cannabis in severe conditions, Indiana denies any form of cannabis except for low-THC CBD derived from industrial hemp. However, there is no medical program currently in place.
For now, it seems that Indiana will hold off on making any legislative changes until marijuana is legalized or rescheduled at the federal level. Growing, cultivating, and possessing cannabis products are illegal until further notice.
