Look For These Characteristics When Searching For a Dispensary

What characteristics should people look for when they’re shopping for a decent reputable dispensary? This is a great question and one that many people have asked themselves when looking for a place to make their first purchase! Let’s take a closer look at this topic!

Look at Reviews

As with any establishment, if you look at reviews, they can tell you a lot about dispensaries you are looking to visit. Sites like Leafly, Weedmaps, AllBud, and others make it easy for patients and consumers to let others know what they thought. Many dispensaries also have received multiple Google reviews and reviews on various search engines that can also provide great insight. However, we must always remember, you can’t always believe what you read, and sometimes how a company responds means more than a single bad review.

Ask Around

Before the internet, you asked your friends where to find the best bud, so why not stick to what worked for generations? Word of mouth remains king when it comes to feedback on almost any establishment. Ask your friends, ask random strangers, ask your family. They are more likely to tell you the truth than anyone else!

Things to Consider When Choosing a Dispensary

Aside from the reviews and opinions of others, there are some key aspects that you can look at when determining if a dispensary is a good fit for you.

Location – Is the dispensary located close to you? Is it in an area that is known for being generally safe? These are vital aspects of finding a good dispensary for you!

Pricing– Many dispensaries list their pricing either directly on their website or on social media. In contrast, others have chosen to display their current offerings and pricing on sites like Leafly and Weedmaps. For many, they know that you get what you pay for, so researching pricing could play a significant role as well!

Security – Does the dispensary you are considering visiting employ on-site security? If so, chances are it is a very secure place to visit with minimal worry of crime.

Member Benefits– Many reputable dispensaries know that giving back to consumers will keep them coming through the doors time and time again. It is most likely if they offer a member discount or loyalty program, they are doing business right.

Community Giveback– While some businesses will not accept donations from dispensaries, there are many that will. For this reason, many reputable dispensaries are directly involved in programs that give back to the community. If you find one that does, chances are they will be a good choice!

Transparency- Third-party lab testing is becoming the norm in the cannabis market. Third-party testing is becoming the bare minimum that consumers are looking for when vetting products today. However, if a dispensary goes the extra mile to make testing accessible to you the consumer, it would lead most to believe that they are confident in the products they offer and are not hiding anything!
