Kush Mints is a tasty 50/50 hybrid strain bred by Seed Junky Genetics. It’s made by crossing Bubba Kush and Animal Mints. It’s a relatively strong strain, coming in anywhere from 22-40% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). It has the terpenes limonene, linalool, and caryophyllene, which are great for relaxation and reducing stress, depression, or anxiety. These terpenes are also known for their benefits for chronic pain, inflammation, and more.
The Kush Mints Experience
The flower had a strong spearmint-like bouquet that was sweet and pungent, reminiscent of thin mint cookies with a detectable gasoline aroma. It also had a mild earthy fennel and moss-like scent, but the potent minty and sweet fragrances were highly dominant. The bud structure was compact with sticky trichomes, and the buds broke up nicely to allow for the deeper pine-like aromas to emanate. The flower was a deep olive green with chartreuse-like undertones and a few orange hairs throughout.
This cultivar tested at 37.91% total cannabinoids with 2.21% terpenes, which created a flavorful experience. The smoke was mild and piney, allowing for a relaxing sensation in my throat. The smoke was not overpowering but had a rich diesel-like flavor. I also detected notes of clove, black pepper, and eucalyptus which added a little kick to the overall zest.
The effect was not noticeable immediately. I could feel a gentle warmth and sense of ease move throughout my neck and back after about 10 minutes, which allowed for enhanced calmness and relief from anxious thoughts. Kush Mints brought on a slow build of well-being, increased creativity, and general mood and body relaxation. At 36.36% THC, the effects were pronounced but manageable. I felt elated to be in my body, and I decreased nervousness and improved visualization for my projects and tasks at hand.

Kush Mints seemed great for being inventive, so I also enjoyed it while coming up with some new recipes in the kitchen, creative writing, and working on some long past-due garden projects. This strain would be perfect for being in nature, working on hobbies, or at the sesh!
