Discover 11 Hemp Cigarettes Benefits: A Guide for Wellness

When it comes to the cannabis plant, hemp is a real workhorse. It’s rapidly becoming renowned for its variety of uses, whether as a building material like hempcrete or a non-psychoactive hemp cigarette.

Cannabis is divided broadly into two types. The marijuana plant is primarily used for human consumption, and it may be consumed through smoking, vaping, edibles, tinctures, or some other form. The higher THC content sets it and the intoxicating effects it has on its users apart from the crowd.

On the other hand, hemp cigarettes are categorized by their extremely low THC content. The hemp plant used contains less than 0.3% THC, meaning it’s non-psychoactive, mostly CBD, and won’t make you high. Instead, hemp has many other medicinal and practical uses in society, from food to body care to medicine.

Today, though, we’re here to explore just one small but meaningful piece of hemp’s impact: the hemp cigarette.

Benefits of Smoking Hemp Cigarettes

If, as we discussed above, the hemp plant has a negligible THC content, why would anyone bother to smoke it in the first place? Indeed, you won’t get high, but hemp contains cannabidiol, or CBD, a compound that offers many helpful effects. Users have found success in lowering their anxiety, reducing physical pain, and even treating more serious ailments with the help of CBD.

There are quite a few additional reasons someone may switch to hemp cigarettes, as we will look into further below!

Legalized by Regulatory Authorities

Since hemp products contain less than 0.3% THC by weight, they are federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. This makes them available to most of the country even though medicinal and recreational cannabis is still federally criminalized. However, some states have moved to ban smokable hemp products since this bill was passed.

For example, Louisiana House Bill 491, passed in June of 2019, states that “[n]o person shall process or sell [a]ny part of hemp for inhalation.” Texas, Idaho, Iowa, and a few other states have passed similar measures banning smokable hemp products.

Since the laws vary in every state, large nationwide providers don’t often sell hemp cigarettes. The best way to find them is at local dispensaries. Consult the regulations in your state, as this may help you determine whether hemp cigarettes are something available to you. If you’re unsure, visit a CBD dispensary and ask the people who work there. They should be well acquainted with local laws and will be able to answer any questions you may have.

Entirely Non-Psychoactive

If you acquire hemp cigarettes, you may be wondering what to expect when you smoke them. Because of the very low THC content, you can rest assured that you won’t get high or feel any intoxicating effects. You are likely to notice some other effects, however. Chief among these is relaxation, both physical and emotional. You might also experience intense focus or mild euphoria.

If you want to plan your experience more carefully, first consult with a physician to be sure that these types of products are right for you. You can also visit a dispensary and seek the advice of a budtender. They are likely to have a few different strains to offer and can help you choose the perfect hemp cigarettes for your personal needs.

Hemp Cigarettes are Non-Addictive

While some people may experience psychological dependency after prolonged cannabis use, hemp doesn’t create the same psychoactive effects and, as a result, doesn’t lead to dependence. Additionally, hemp doesn’t contain the harmful additives and chemicals found in tobacco products, which makes it a safer alternative for people who want to enjoy smoking without the risk of addiction.

Effectively Relieve Stress and Anxiety

Hemp cigarettes have been reported to help relieve stress and anxiety due to their high CBD content. CBD has been repeatedly demonstrated to have calming and anti-anxiety effects. It is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream after smoking, providing quick relief from physical and mental symptoms of strain.

Many people find that smoking hemp cigarettes helps them relax without the intoxicating effects associated with THC. Since THC can actually cause anxiety for some, having a non-psychoactive option is highly beneficial for people who still want the medicinal benefits.

Significantly Improve Sleep Quality and Manage Pain

One of the top proven benefits of CBD relates to its ability to help with sleep and pain management. It may help regulate sleep patterns by interacting with receptors in the brain that govern the sleep-wake cycle to aid with relaxation and reducing anxiety, which can contribute to better sleep.

In terms of pain management, CBD has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that can help reduce chronic pain, inflammation, and discomfort. Many people report that smoking hemp cigarettes provides them with quick relief from pain since the CBD is more quickly absorbed into the bloodstream.

Excellent for Curbing Tobacco Smoking Habits

Hemp-derived CBD cigarettes are far less damaging to your health than tobacco cigarettes. They don’t contain the addictive chemical nicotine and lack the carcinogenic additives that are so dangerous to tobacco smokers.

For that reason, many cigarette smokers are turning to hemp cigarettes to help them kick the habit. Doing so allows them to continue the habitual behaviors of smoking while at the same time eliminating the toxic and addictive substances from their routine. Switching from tobacco cigarettes to hemp could be one of the healthiest choices you’ll ever make.

Effectively Combat Tobacco Withdrawal Symptoms

Hemp cigarettes can provide a significant boost to people battling with tobacco withdrawal symptoms. Smoking hemp cigarettes mimics the sensation of smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes, which can be comforting for those trying to quit. This similarity also helps reduce the psychological cravings associated with the habit of smoking.

Additionally, the CBD in hemp cigarettes provides further benefits during the withdrawal process. CBD is known for its calming and anxiety-reducing properties, which can help alleviate some of the stress and irritability often experienced during tobacco withdrawal. Some studies further suggest that CBD may help reduce cravings for nicotine and make it easier for people to switch. Finally, cannabis smoke is healthier than tobacco smoke, making it less dangerous for people inhaling secondhand smoke.

Provides the Fastest Way to Experience CBD Benefits

Although there are many forms of CBD out there, including tinctures, edibles, topicals, creams, lozenges, and more, the fastest way to get the effects continues to be through inhalation. When CBD or hemp is inhaled, it can rapidly enter the bloodstream through the lungs and deliver its effects anywhere in the body.

Available in a Wide Range of Appealing Flavors

The cannabis industry is experiencing explosive growth, and there are countless companies out there offering an endless-seeming supply of hemp cigarettes. They can be formulated to taste like cannabis or to lean more toward tobacco to appeal to people trying to quit, and they offer a diverse range of CBD options and amounts.

Whether you want sweet flavors like vanilla or peach or something more classic like menthol, you can find a hemp cigarette to meet your needs.

Affordable and Cost-Effective

Traditional cigarette use can get expensive quickly, which often contributes to people wanting to quit. And, while a pack of hemp cigarettes costs roughly the same amount as a pack of tobacco cigarettes, it’s still significantly cheaper than alternative forms of cannabis. THC flower, CBD tinctures, and other comparative products can become quite pricey depending on your state, making hemp cigarettes an inexpensive way to get the benefits of CBD.

Similar to Regular Cigarettes for an Easier Switch

Hemp cigarettes have an incredibly similar look and feel as tobacco cigarettes, which can help people trying to quit smoking trick their brains into thinking it’s gotten its “fix.” They also come in packaging that mirrors tobacco cigarettes, providing a discreet option that can be used and enjoyed nearly everywhere. It’s not uncommon to hear former tobacco users discuss the difficulty of quitting the “oral fixation” associated with smoking, and hemp cigarettes can help satisfy this craving without addictive, harmful tobacco and additives.

Conclusion

If you’re looking to quit tobacco smoking or merely trying to find a sustainable, easy way to incorporate CBD into your daily routine, hemp cigarettes may be an ideal option for you. They are discreet, inexpensive, and available in most states. They also provide a healthier alternative to traditional cigarettes, which can help you avoid countless health issues down the line.

I have a number of medical/emotional issues that I’ve been dealing with most of my life. I read about the benefits of hemp and decided to give the cigarettes a try as I am a medical cannabis patient for some of these issues. I have to tell you that I am absolutely blown away by the hemp cigarettes. They really help me to relax without the cerebral effects of Cannabis, which I am not always a big fan of all of the time. I happen to be a retired CPA/MBA and former college professor, so I am a highly educated individual. Most of my issues deal with free floating anxiety. I have been able to get through each attack with the help of Cannabis Which my Physician prescribed.
